SAN FRANCISCO

– Golden Gate Park –

It has various neat areas with benches and fountains.

– Baker Beach –

Not the whitest sand and often crowded but the infamous Golden Gate Bridge in the background.

– Legion of Honor Museum –

If you like columns and old European-style architecture the Legion of Honor might be a good spot.

– Palace of Fine Arts –

Beautiful architecture and a small park nearby.

– Cliff House –

It’s not about the Cliff House itself, but the adjacent Sutro Heights Park provides some nice views over Ocean Beach and the Richmond/Sunset neighborhood.

– Henrik’s Point –

Some old World War II structures and a postcard view on the Golden Gate Bridge. Close by is the Cavallo Point lodge with its Presidio-style buildings.

– Fort Mason –

Last century industrial-style kind of location.

– Downtown San Francisco –

Embarcadero, Ferry Building, the Piers, Cable Cars etc. If you like a downtown feel for your engagement photos I highly recommend it.

Beautiful architecture and works even when it rains – because it’s indoor. Only open Mo-Fr until 8 PM.

PENINSULA

– Fort Funston –

Amazing nature location on the southwest border of San Francisco. It has a rich diversity of beautiful landscape, pathways, beach, WWII structures and more.

– Montara State Beach –

One of the many deserted beaches along coastal highway 1.

– Pigeon Point Lighthouse –

Beautiful beach and an old lighthouse. The lighthouse is fenced off but there are some buildings (hostel) around it.

EASTBAY

– Berkeley University –

Nice campus, old buildings.

– Piedmont Community Park –

A gem for photography. It is a very neat park area with a little fountain. In late March-early April there are cherry blossoms.

Beautiful old building and some nice park/nature area surrounding it.

SOUTH BAY

– Capitola –

Beach, wharf, railway tracks – Capitola has it all.

– Santa Cruz –

Capitola plus the Boardwalk.

Nicely decorated shopping complex in San Jose.
